The campaign kick-off event will take place in Andrade's core voting bloc of Pensacola, and should result in a hefty haul for the conservative official. Likewise, the fundraiser will feature many prominent Republicans from around the Panhandle, which should be a huge boom to the Republican lawmaker's political stock heading into 2020.
Notable attendees include former Senate President Don Gaetz, Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward, Rep. Jayer Williamson, former state representative Frank White, former Pensacola City Council member and state Rep. Jim Reeves, real estate developer Collier Merrill, Executive Director of Escambia DMO Rusty Branch, and President of The Greater Pensacola Chamber Todd Thomson.
Andrade won the open seat in 2018, defeating Greg Merk 60 percent to 40 percent in the primary. He ran unopposed in the general election.
The young Republican's first term was a success, with Andrade sponsoring over 30 bills -- many of which were aimed at helping his constituents and enriching West Florida. Pensacola Republican says he's happy with his first year in office and is looking forward to continuing to serve House District 2.
“I’ve been privileged to serve House District 2 this first term. It would be my honor to be sent back to serve a second term," Andrade told The Florida Report.
The fundraiser is set to start at 5:30 p.m.
